Sketch to 3D

From a sketch to a 3D model, on the same board.

Draw the character, let Mirva render it and paint the views it needs, then turn them into a 3D model you can orbit and export, without leaving the board or writing a prompt. And go the other way: block a scene out in 3D, and Mirva paints it.

One character, sketch to 3D

Sevan, from LENS. The artist drew him; Mirva rendered him, painted the side, back and three-quarter views, and made 3D models from all four. Real images and models from the board.

The models turn live in your browser and switch between the textured model and its mesh. Rigging and animation are Mirva’s next 3D skill: the rigged Sevan was made with Meshy’s auto-rigging and a motion-captured walk.

What you can do

Views for a clean model

One image leaves the back to guesswork. Ask for a turnaround and Mirva paints side, back and three-quarter views on model, then sends them all to a multi-view 3D model.

Straight from a sketch

Hunyuan3D Sketch makes a model from the drawing itself, for blockouts and quick volumes.

Retopologize

Smart Topology rebuilds a heavy generated mesh into a clean, light one: the sand yacht below went down to 7,901 triangles. Rigging and animation come next.

Orbit on the board

Models sit on the board next to the art they came from. Orbit them, compare versions, show the team.

Export

GLB, FBX, STL or USDZ, on to Blender, Maya, a game engine or a printer.

Back into 2D

Block a scene out in Blender or turn a model to the angle you need, and Mirva renders it in your style with the layout kept. 3D blockout to render →

Questions

Can I make a 3D model from a single sketch or image?

Yes. Some models work from one image (Hunyuan3D, TRELLIS.2, Tripo P1), and Hunyuan3D Sketch from a sketch. For a character you’ll rig, several views give a cleaner model: Mirva can paint the missing views first.

Which formats can I export?

GLB, FBX, STL and USDZ, so the model goes on to Blender, Maya, a game engine or a 3D printer.

Are the models production-ready?

They are a fast, faithful start: blockouts, previs, concept models, and bases to refine. Smart Topology retopologizes a model to a clean, lighter mesh; rigging and animation are coming next.

Can I use 3D to make 2D art?

Yes. Orbit a model on the board to find a camera, block a scene out in Blender, and Mirva renders it in your style, keeping the layout.

Draw it once. Turn it around.
